GITA Ontario Chapter's Spring Educational Session
\"Taking the Geospatial Mystery out of Asset Management"
Thursday, May 20, 2010
10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Increased legislative, regulatory and business competition have demanded that companies have a more complete, accurate and reliable account of their assets. In the past, many organizations were not well positioned for asset management - they did not have processes, systems or organizational governance in place to collect or manage asset information. However, to respond to growing expectations and issued regulations, organizations need improved asset management. This additional knowledge will also lead to more informed and faster decision making within the organization, demonstration of operating compliance, preparing for and responding to emergencies or calculating carbon footprints. Effective asset management is a clear differentiator in business today.

The Ontario Chapter of GITA, along with hosts PowerStream, would like to invite you to attend this educational session which will offer you a unique look on how various organizations are applying geospatial technologies & systems to support Asset Management.

Come out for this ½ day spring educational session to take the geospatial mystery out of asset management and hear from four speakers on how they over came these challenges inside their organizations.

Taking the Geospatial Mystery out of Business Intelligence

Business Intelligence (noun) - a set of concepts and methods to improve business decision making by using fact-based support systems.

Progressive and successful companies are able to make the most informed business decisions because of factual, reliable data in their corporate systems. Timely access and retrieval of this business information is paramount at critical times in business operations to facilitate assessments and evaluations.

The ability to make and act on decisions using reliable and dependable information sources, in a nimble and timely fashion, will separate and open up a clear differentiation between the "have" companies and the "have not" competitors in markets.

The Ontario Chapter of GITA, along with host PowerStream, invites you to attend an educational session giving a unique look at how various organizations are applying geospatial technologies and systems to support and boost business intelligence.
